Electrolysis is the ONLY proven method of permanent hair removal. Each hair is individually treated with a disposable tiny probe inserted into the hair follicle. An electrical current is then gently applied which then destroys the hair follicle. Once the follicle is destroyed, a hair can no longer be produced......giving you the smooth skin you always wanted and the bothersome hairs gone! Electrolysis is effective for all skin colors and hair colors.
Each individual has different sensitivity levels. Many compare electrolysis to a warming sensation or small pinch. The little discomfort it may cause out ways the wonderful results in the end. Even the most sensitive client should be able to tolerate the treatments.
No electrologist can give you an exact number of treatments. Each client will vary in the number of treatments due to different factors. Some of these factors include: previous hair removal methods: such as tweezing and waxing, hereditary, hormonal imbalances, and even certain medications.
Due to distorted follicles caused by previous hair removal methods, it is not always possible to get rid of the hair in just one treatment. Repeated treatments will be necessary to accomplish permanent results. Very thick and heavy growth of hair will take more treatments than hair that are fine. For best results, follow the electrologist's recommendation in scheduling appointments.
